GWR Legal Recruitment is working with a highly respected regional law firm to recruit a Senior Associate or Partner-level Private Client Lawyer for its Bury St Edmunds office.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced private client lawyers and would be suitable for partners looking to make a lateral move or alternatively senior associate/legal director level candidates seeking a genuine pathway to partnership within a progressive and supportive firm.

The Role

The successful candidate will take a senior role within an established private client team, managing a quality caseload while helping to lead and develop the department.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a varied private client caseload (wills, probate, trusts, estate planning)
• Supervising and mentoring junior team members within the team,
• Supporting departmental management and strategy
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Contributing to business development and marketing activities of the department and firm.

The Candidate

The firm will consider strong Senior Associate level candidates or Partners looking to explore options at a similar senior level.

You will ideally be able to demonstrate:

• Significant private client experience within respected departments.
• Proven supervisory or management experience
• Strong technical and client-care skills
• Ambition to progress to partnership or grow within an existing partner role
